Do any of you PROS accept checks?
Just curious
And what do you do when you get a bad one? What kind of precautions do you take?
And if you don't take them, how do you go about letting the customer know? I've decided recently not to take checks, but sometimes there's people that come out with a check already scratched out. Lol damn!

I accept checks and never had one bounce. If I did, I'd politely reach out to the person and state the issue. Always be calm, showing proof of bounced check is always good too.

I take checks, cash, and credit/debit cards.
Had one check bounce so far. Called client and it was no big deal.

I do prefer cash for obvious reasons

I have taken checks but I also got a square reader to take cards on my cell phone. Works great for a minimal fee

right now I accept cash and Money order. Especially where I live. Not enough flow for the card reader yet. Cash is king,, and as stated above there are very obvious plus sides to it.

I take checks and a huge portion of my clients pay via check. Never had one bounce in 8 years.
