Let me risk saying something wrong or weird, otherwise I may be right...

I generally rinse mine in running water, you can gently use a bit of neutral soap and gently spread with your fingers.

You want your pad not only clean, but free of 'hard contaminants', so you should inspect it and remove carefully anything odd attached to it.

In the end, you may rinse it again with a quick detailer spray (any you would use as clay lube like ONR, UWW+, Meguiar's #34, mother's QD, any!), spraying it 4 to 5 times towards 'rinsing it', shake it and rest with the scrub face facing upwards.

    Again, sorry if I'm wrong,

    Kind Regards.

Yes, exactly. The picture of the 'guy spraying QD' is exactly what I meant for the 'final rinsing with QD'.

You can rinse it under water and use your clean hand and fingers to clean it. Do not use anything harsh like degreasers or even some concentrated APCs, that may harm your device.

Not some APCs won't work, but the tap rinse, neutral soap, and QD are good things to start with on the safe side.

Do you have a picture of how dirty is your pad?

    Kind Regards.

    Optimum No Rinse.

Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine: clay lubricant, optimum rinseless wash, no rinse car wash, optimum detailing products

    and this is UWW+,
Ultima Waterless Wash Plus+ Concentrate, concentrated waterless auto wash, waterless car wash

    I also like this:
Pinnacle Liquid Crystal Waterless Wash Concentrate with Carnauba, waterless car wash, eco friendly car wash products

Many others, those product offers great dilution rates that gives you 'infinite' quick detailer powers...

    Let us know,

    Kind Regards.

    I tried it a little

    It seemed
To make the clay very slimy like

And felt like it was ruining the clay

    IMO
