Trust me when i say get the griots 6 inch over the pc.
I use my pc for a 4 inch setup, and havent used it with a 5 inch plate in a long time, untill i helped my cousin use his pc with a 5 inch plate.
And wow i forgot how much more powerful the griots 6 inch is.
Speed 4 on the griots 6 is almost like speed 5.5 on the pc.
The speeds actually change on the griots, and only speed 4-6 fix the paint on the pc.
The griots has more power when you need it, but still safe like the porter cable, you can grow into the griots more, but will outgrow the pc much faster.
Go with the griots trust me

Pc is nice with 3" or 4" pads but the griots is the workhorse with 5", less vibration and way more torque. I have a G15 on the way🤗

I agree with this. The 7424 did not impress me with 5.5" pads on it. I actually thought the performance was decent with 4" pads, though. I am going to get a Rupes 15 for 5.5" pads and see if there's an improvement.

If you are thinking about it today is the day with the 15% off. I had my friend in Oregon order one lst night as he is just getting into detailing. He got the kit with the Griots products and the pad cleaner and conditioner.I think with the discount it was under 200 bucks.

Re: Looking to buy first DA!
I started with a PC to get my feet wet in the paint correction world....it was nice and did the job, but as I got more and more into it I started wanting more....budget was still on the low side but between selling my PC and a couple side jobs I was able to step up to the gg6 and Meg's thin discs.... IMO it was a worthwhile upgrade, the gg6 felt considerably more powerful and vibrated less then the PC.
Now that I have a couple full corrections under my belt I'm seeing the drawback of the smaller throw polishers....between the vibrations, pressure and amount of time it takes to complete the job I decided it's finally time to get a "big boy" polisher.... Rupes mk2 is coming soon to me and I can't wait to take it for a spin and see what it can do, and how fast it can do it.
