Nanoskin Mitt or Nanoskin DA Foam Pad?

I'm thinking of investing in the fine grade and medium grade nanoskin but can't decide if I should get the mitt or the 4inch nanoskin foam pad for DA. I have a porter cable with the 3.5 BP.

Which would be more efficient? I know the foam pad would be faster but I wouldn't be able to get it in the tighter areas. Any suggestions?

I like both the sponge and 6" Pad. I use the Blue and feel no need for the red. The 6" Pad I use by hand and covers claying better than the Sponge. IMO it is easier to get in the tighter areas too as the Pad is thinner and more flexible. But either way...Nanoskin is better than traditional clay.

As for using it with a DA...you can, however, I feel claying (nanoskin) by hand gives you a better "feel" of correcting.

When you say the red pad, you mean the medium grade pad?

Correct. The red is more heavier duty and the blue is for fine. I have never used the Red Pad and can't give a comment on it. The blue has done an excellent job for me and as the saying goes:

If it ain't broke don't fix it!

I do know you will probably never use traditional clay again...just remember plenty of lube when using the Nanoskin. I use Pinnacle Rinseless wash w/carnauba at a higher concentration. Any RW will do

Thanks! I'll pick up the fine grade today. Gonna use it on a detail tomorrow. My friends 2014 tacoma. Do you wash the car after you've done the nanoskin treatment? I'm doing an AIO on the tacoma with my Flex 3401.

Usually I just wipe off the lube with a good quality MF towel. Washing IMO would be redundant. Some may disagree, however, I clay a section at a time and then wipe off. IMO its ready for the LSP. Have fun detailing!! Aloha!!!!!

I own and use the Nanoskin towel and sponge both. Fine grade. They work exceptionally well and save a lot of precious time. Good luck and take care.

    Peace,
