Just yesterday, I prepped my windows for tint by polishing both sides by hand using McKee’s Glass Restoring Polish. I thought it looked good + I figured the guys at the tint shop would be doing their own minimum amount of prep anyways...

[I went to the tint shop but they were too busy and I couldn’t wait]

Later in the day I noticed a bunch of hazy polish residue that I didn’t see earlier. So this morning I did exactly what he recommended. I cleaned 1 window with Blackfire Paint Prep and the other with Megs Glass Cleaner. They both got rid of the polish residue, but that got me thinking about paint after polishing/pre lsp.prep trim for coating ?

That’s what differentiates the enthusiasts from the pros.

What I mentioned above is pro application prep.

Then that is on them for not educating themselves. Joining a forum like this is a smart move. Videos like Jimbo’s Eeaser video is not educational in the products designed use.

Point me to where it states Eraser is designed to remove a wax or sealant. Even the label says intensive oil & polish cleaner. No mention of wax or sealant.

    Straight from CarPro

Now if a wax or sealant is many months old then maybe it will remove it.

Is this an error? Or did you mean to say that?

So you do a prep wipe after applying a coating? Who else does that?

Ya. I always clean the glass twice with glass cleaner after using McKee's 37 Glass Restorer polish. Also, never put that stuff on a machine! I decided to do it to speed up the process once... I have never seen so much dusting in my life! The entire car looked like it had snowed on it and that was just from the windshield. Never again!

Just looked at Cquarz... they now claim only 6 months durability... wow... down from 2 years to 6 months... I don't know what to say. Just happy I never used their product.

Possible. Their website keeps giving me errors when I try to look up stuff, error 500 everytime I click on something.

Is Lite a 6 months coating?
