how to clean menzerna power lock from pads
Hello all,
Looking for some help. does anyone know how to clean out the residue from an Adams Applicator Pad.
I have a build up of Menzerna (Jescar) Power Lock on this hand applicator.
Many thanks in anticipation

Not sure if this is going to help you:
Power lock is very similar to Wolfgang deep gloss paint sealant. It’s hard to get out of a applicator or pad. I just put it in a ziplock when I’m done using it and when I use the product the next time, the pad or applicator is already primed with product.
I’m sure you can use different APCs or cleaners to get it out but you will end up using more time than it is worth.
if there is excess product in the applicator, try wringing it out inside s terry cloth towel.

^ this. I once tried for an hour to clean a pad used with Wolfgang. All I achieved was a very hydrophobic sink.

If it washed out of the pad easily it would wash off your car easily.
What’s a new pad cost?

Ya powerlock resists even the most agressive cleaners. I no longer use Powerlock but I did the ziplock bag trick with my applicator pad when I did.

Thanks to all.
I used Megs APC with Gtecniq W5 Citrus after soaking the face with Fairy liquid DWS.
This did get out the gunge left in the pad.

Well if you are gonna spend an hour scrubbing a pad, might as well buy a new one. Cheap pads sell for under 10$, not a huge expense vs wasting all that time and products to try to remove Powerlock from one. Again, if you put it in a ziplock bag, then you can use that pad exclusivelly for that product and you save both time and money.

Did not spend more than 5 minutes covered it with Fairy liquid sprayed Megs APC then Sprayed Gtecniq W5 citrus. Left for half hour, rinsed out all clean. Total time while a drank a Latte.
I am not in USA or Canada I'm in UK so you can triple your $10

That's pretty good. I had mine soaking in APC and degreasers for hours and it still would not remove all the product after a lot of scrubbing.
Your paying 30$ per pad in the UK?? That is insane!
