Looking For a Spray Detailer That Dosn't Leave White Residue on Black Trim?

Hi Guys,

After polish, sealant and a coat of Pinnacle Souveran Carnauba Paste Wax the paint looks AMAZING !!

I'm now looking for a compatible spray detailer for car show maintenance.

I was planning on using Pinnacle Crystal Mist which I know would be compatible and enhance the Souveran Carnauba; however, per their tech department I was told to stay away from all black plastic trim especially the ones which are textured.


I was disappointed to hear this because as you know staying away from the black trim is a PITA and a really slows the process.


So the bottom line is do you have any suggestions of an alternative detailer which I don't have to worry about leaving a whitish residue on the trim?


Note: I've used Re-Load on my previous car; but, that had C Quarts coating and NOT Carnauba ----------- the Re-Load was great with no problem letting it getting onto the black trim, in fact the trim loved it !!

Zymol has a great detailer. It has some carnauba in it, but doesn't stain plastic, or at least hasn't for me, and I use it a lot.

Are you sure that Crystal Mist will stain trim? I've used a lot in the pass and don't remember it staining black trim. Maybe someone on this forum will confirm.

I've never had a problem with any QD's staining trim. Some sealants & waxes, yes. But never a QD.

Surely, that had to be the case.
Because:

I’ve even used Pinnacle Crystal Mist to
remove that stubborn, chalky-looking
wax residue from textured trim.

I’m in agreement with the above. It definitely won’t do anything to the trim in my experience. I have used a lot of it on everything and never had issues. Truly is a great product just too bad the price point isn’t very economical.
