A few things from this weekend..

Washed my truck today that had road salt on it for a good 3-4 weeks. I used Adam's Strip Wash, which was my first time ever using an actual strip soap. It did not remove the Prima HydroMax from the hood and upper body panels, which Im not surprised but I'm pretty happy to see how durable that stuff is. The lower body panels were toast anyways from all the grime.

BUT.. it was a great cleaning soap that removed all the baked road film and build up, including the wheels which I believe a regular soap wouldn't have. So from now on I will forever keep a stash of strip wash for this purpose, I'll probably buy another brand to compare to as well.

Second thing - after my chrome wheels were cleaned I used Hydro Blue to "refresh" my PBL wheel coating thats now degrading after about 8 months. So while my wheels were still wet I went to grab my Mckees Extender Spray wax as a drying aid... come to find out it was actually the bottle of Hydro Blue! I didn't realize this until 3 wheels in so I just went with it. Im happy to report that so far I found no ill effects.. the wheels didn't seem to have any haze at all. The sun was going down so It was kind of hard to tell. I will inspect tomorrow to see for sure.

I do expect my wheels to bead like a big dog during the next rainfall though lol

Inspected the wheels today.. seems like no haze left behind at all. Pretty surprised actually. More reason to keep using this stuff
