Re: Product Suggestions for Exterior Trim & Tires
I use Perl on trim, and a product with a slow moving animal with a hard shell around it on tires

Re: Product Suggestions for Exterior Trim & Tires
OK so far the Ultima TTGP, PERL, Optima Opti-bond and Blackfire Tire&Trim seem to make the cut.
I have a car that is 6 months old and I haven't used anything on the exterior trim yet (about time I put something on in the baking heat). I do use the Megs endurance gel on the tires and for the price, it performs well.
Would be good if I can get a product that will take care of both tires & exterior trim.
The tire gel lasts pretty long here because it hardly ever rains for it to wash off.

If your happy with Megs Endurance, why not keep using it? So you have to get another product for your trim..same amount of work, just another bottle on your shelf.
Just don't see the problem if two products will do the job better than one.

I am happy with Megs Endurance gel's performance.
What I am not happy about it is its messy and slimy composition that makes it a mess to wash off the applicator after use.
It seems like the slime would never wash off as you keep rinsing the foam applicator with Dawn.

Then you need to use a water based dressing (Opti-Bond). The negative, is that it will not last as long as solvent based dressing.
Any water based dressing on trim, imo is a waste of time. It takes time to prep/tape before applying a dressing, only to have to do it again in a few weeks.
I applied Dlux to a new car that sits outside 24 /7 every six months and 2.5 years later, it looks like new.
Being your ride is only 6 months old, minimum prep work will be needed.
