    Rain after can coat

I've used can coat several times, but have always had a garage for it to cure in the past. I had no access to one this time, and applied it outdoors. We had no rain in the forecast, but ended up with a thunderstorm and a brief but strong downpour a little over four hours after the application. I don't see any problems after a quick visual once over, but I'm wondering if this has had an effect on the curing. Anyone else have a similar experience and input? Thanks!

Meh....the new EVO is 12 hours to cure but if it was out in the sun/UV light for a few hours, it will likely be fine. Good news is that it will only take you 20 mins to give the car another layer upon the next clean up.

    Re: Rain after can coat

So ill add that when i topped the black buick with cancoat evo a few months ago, it was sunny till about 5 hours later. Mother nature did a quick suprise sky dump. I did not use cure that time as i did not have it.

Ive noticed some what looks like "ghost" water spots on the hood and decklid, as well as some other parts of the car. Very faint but i see them. Not etched though.

Cant say for sure if its from that or not but makes me wander.

I have used cure every time since then with pure and cancoat evo with no issue.

If you have any bit of worry, just use cure....cheap insurance

I'm seeing this same thing. Ugh... Any idea on the best way to remove this coating without a machine so I can try again (with cure this time...)?

Unfortunately not. It would need to be polished off.

I'm still doing everything by hand. Machine route just isn't an option at the moment. Would something like Meguiars M205 or wolfgang total swirl remover done by hand be enough to remove it?
