Advice on using CanCoat to coat tail pipes on a motorcycle
I used this to seal the painted parts on my bike and loved the results.
Once I apply like I would to a painted clear coat, will it be ok with the heat of the pipes later when the bike is started?
Some parts of the exhaust can get up to about 500 degrees or so.
Would be great to use on the chrome, I think it would look amazing.

Try it. I am not sure of the temperature resistance of CanCoat. You could always contact Gyeon and ask. Worst it case it doesn't last as long as on the painted surface and you have to reapply it again.
