Griots G8 or equivalent for 4in pad?
Hello!
I recently bought a Griot G9 and am very satisfied with it. I use it with a 5in backing plate and 5.5 pads.
I have an old Shurhold DA polisher that i use with a 3 in backing plate for 4in pads. Works well, but the vibration and noise, and damn switch is driving me crazy.
I am looking for a polisher which I can use for 4in foam pads for minor paint corrections and polishing, as well as headlight polisher also. The g8 "sounds" great for my needs but i'm unsure if it will have the power to do the work required.(paint correction on 4in pads)
Would it have enough power to do the job? If not, any good recommendations for a similar price point machine that does now vibrate like it's about to fall apart and wont cost a kidney?
BTW, it's for amateur use
Thank you!

I like my Adams Mini Swirl Killer. 3” backing plate, detachable cord, slow start, 12mm throw [main reason I chose it] so it’s better capable for paint correction.
I like it. It’s smooth, plenty of power, no complaints.

I have the G8 to use for tight spots that my flex can not get to. The g8 stalls so easy. I really try to vary technique with this polisher. Just my .02.

Thanks for your imput!
Yes the Adams mini, aswell as the maxshine m312 seem to be contenders, tough i do not like the switch type/placement (i prefer trigger), but alot of complains about the g8 stalling easily. Gonna keep reading to make a reasonnable choice hehe

Re: Griots G8 or equivalent for 4in pad?
Finally I ordered both,
only had the chance to try the G8, with my 4 inch pads, honestly it does the job, will stall if you let it, but I had no issue doing my work with it and some adjustment. It does run hot (speed 5-6 with slight pressure) but the noise/vibration levels are wayyy better than my old shurhold.
