My G 9 is real fine

Finished a 3 day detail-Jeep Cherokee-, compound/finishing cream and the Klasse twins- with a brand new G9/5" kit and am 120% satisfied . The tool worked flawlessly and ran fairly cool only getting warm never what I would call hot. Certainly the duty cycles when applying/removing chemicals was on the shorter side but the final buff was done all at once and it ran for about 20 minutes continuously but with very light to only machine weight for down pressure. In a word it was a -pleasure- to use, easy to handle , a great amount of power (I had to work and work hard to get the machine to stall; it took about the same amount of pressure as it does to stall the Cyclo) noise about what I expected-coarser than the Cyclo and a bit louder, I always use ear plugs others may or may not need or want them.

The big test will be doing our 20 yr old camper, sort of looking forward to it.

I almost sprung for a Flex or Rupes glad I went with the Griot's-the beer/pizza and popper fund is set through at least half the summer.

That's awesome! I'm glad you enjoyed working with the new Griot's Garage G9 Random Orbital Polisher. Good luck with the 20 yr old Camper.

The G9 gets mixed reviews here on the forum but I am a big fan. It has a lot of power and it runs smoothly. As a lefty, I just wish that it had a trigger lock button on the right side of the handle.

I'm a huge fan as well.

But as much as I love my G9, I will still NEVER get rid of my little buddy the GG6.

The G8 works great for my Harley. I picked up a G9 as well because once I started, I realized that to do my cars and truck, I'd need the bigger tool.

The G9 seems to be a bit easier to handle and I love it.

I've also been really happy with mine.

I'm with UncleDavy - plenty of power, nice and smooth. I can see where being a lefty would be a downer with the trigger lock though.

I like how comfortable it is to use - very easy to grip pretty much no matter how you hang onto it. Great tool!

Add in the fact that you have 180 days of trigger time to make up your mind and getting one becomes THE no- brainer of no- brainers.

I switched/upgraded to a flex, but the one thing I miss about the G9 is the grip handle and how you can wrap your hand around the head of the tool. So much control!

If you are doing paint correction in any professional capacity, then this is the only way to go.

My G9 is great. Several nice features and it gets the job done.
