Re: For those who have upgraded to the BOSS
As suggested I would just get it replaced and wait for a sale or just buy the 15 or 21 separately. The promo with the bag and liquids is a great one. In my opinion it doesn't hurt to have 2 polishers.
Side note, I started with a megs g110v2 which I personally love. I have a gg6 and recently repurchased a rupes 15 and mini. I once thought I had no more use for the rupes since I stopped doing side detailing. Once I got it back and fired it up I remembered why I bought them in the first place, just a totally different experience from using the standard 8mm DAs. I think each tool has its time and place and it doesn't hurt to have a few tools to use.

I don't regret it, but if money isn't falling from the tree, then just save your money and buy some pads
I do like using the newer (thin pads) on the GG6.

Re: For those who have upgraded to the BOSS
every detailer/enthusiast should own at least one traditional PC-style DA (keep the GG6). with that said, Firehouse Mike pretty much summed it up perfectly! GG6 + G15/21 =

Re: For those who have upgraded to the BOSS
Have the GG6 and G21. I use both. If you do a lot of correction it might be worth while to pick up the 21.

Re: For those who have upgraded to the BOSS
If you plan to only have 1 machine, keep the gg6. Versatility with backing plates able to go smaller such as 3in 4in all the way up. G15/21 you can not.
I still use my GG6 every detail along with my GG15/21

Re: For those who have upgraded to the BOSS
Get a Boss, but don't rush into the purchase and wait for a good sale. Remember there's a possibility of gift certificate sales during Christmas-New Years.
Then get a 3" Boss backing plate and turn that new GG6 into a dedicated 3" machine and you'll be equipped to handle most anything.

Re: For those who have upgraded to the BOSS
I have the BOSS21. One thing comes to light with the BOSS21, the brushes wear out fast. This is an issue Griot's is working on to solve. Make sure to buy some extra one's. But as far as the tool itself is concerned it's an awesome machine. I also have the Flex 3401. Nothing beats that machine, not even the BOSS21. So if you are considering buying a DA to replaxce your GG6, buy the Flex 3401 and then I would suggest you buy the BOSS21.

Re: For those who have upgraded to the BOSS
Is the brush issue only with the G21 or does it also apply to the G15? When you say wears out fast, what would you estimate that to be in hours of use?
