    if it hasn't been done already, try replacing the brushes (if it doesn't void the warranty) and see if that helps. this may be similiar on how the video below shows on replacing them...

    I'd take advantage of that warranty.

    Having a back up isn't a bad idea either. That way you could have one set up for smaller pads, and if one goes down, that write off is there ready for use.

    The other advantage of having 2 machines is the ability to split the load so to speak. Polish with one, and use the other for wax or sealant application.

    Griot's got back to me and told me to check the electrical brushes. Sure enough one was burnt to a nub and I changed both and started right up. I do like Griot's customer service. They were very helpful.

    I did think about getting the Griot's Boss G21 for heavy cutting since it has a longer MM orbital range.
