    Griot's Garage BOSS Finishing Papers

i'm sure AG will have them soon...

BOSS Finishing Paper removes above and below surface paint defects like dirt nibs, dust, insects, paint texture, runs, and sags following paint refinishing. It can also be used for removal of severe defects prior to paint correction on OEM finishes. The precision-formed silicon carbide abrasives used in Griot's Garage BOSS Finishing Paper have been developed by Nikken, a global leader in abrasive manufacturing, to be sharper and more consistent in size than those found on regular sandpaper. This ensures shallow sanding marks which are quickly removed via polishing, saving time and effort while also minimizing the amount of paint thickness loss. This ain't your grandfather's sandpaper, it's a high-tech solution to the toughest defects.

Useful Instructions: Select the least aggressive grit you'll need to do the job. Prepare BOSS Finishing Paper by placing in Ultimate Wash Bucket filled with water and 1 ounce of Car Wash. Seal bucket with supplied lid. Should immediate work be required, soak in hot water for at least 5 minutes. Wrap BOSS Finishing Paper around an appropriate sandpaper backing pad to ensure even pressure on surface.

We have developed Griot's Garage BOSS™ Finishing Paper for the absolute toughest, most severe above and below surface paint defects.

Re: Griot's Garage BOSS Finishing Papers

Recently Frank aka FranhS and I used these to reduce orange peel on a black Mercedes-Benz.

    Pictures and write-up on Monday.

Lots of new product reviews lately, takes time to,

    A: Do the work.

    B: Take the pictures.

C: Process the pictures and make them magically appear.

D: Write a story that connect the pictures to the products and the process that someone can then duplicate in their garage.

Geez I could of used that on some planes. But can't because it has silicon carbide abrasives which is a no no on aircrafts.AND besides I prefer disk over sheets much faster and better results.

Re: Griot's Garage BOSS Finishing Papers

On aircraft really bad start at 220 and stop at 800.Anything over 800 is pointless.Aircraft paint is extemely hard.Just read a arice from boeing. When those planes are painted the robotics they use to finish for high gloss the plane is equivalent to polishing it 370 times before it hits the tarmac.
