    That's not how I see it, because I haven't ran into a situation my polisher hasn't been able to handle yet.. And if/when I do, the washers are always nearby in my Griots pouch that always stays in the box.

    The other positive note is that IMO the polisher runs considerably smoother this way. If you where to read my initial thoughts on my polisher I ripped it for not being as smooth as I'd hoped... Once I took out the washers + changed pads it now runs smooth like a Cadillac.

    Would love to see pics of your trimmed shroud? How'd you do it?
