    Boss G10

Has anyone used the new Griots Garage Boss G10 air powered polisher? I am currently using a PC 7424 and have been happy with my results. I currently only detail my own vehicles and those for friends. Unfortunately my friends all drive 3/4 ton, 4 door, 4X4 pickups like me, so paint correction becomes a chore. Doing the hood is not big deal, but when you are holding that machine sideways for hours, it gets heavy.

I was interested in the G10 because it appears to be much lighter, and I am not getting any younger. I was wondering the comparison between it and the 7424 (my only point of reference). Will I get the same results using the same products and technique. Is it as idiot proof as a DA polisher? Any insight would help before I pull the trigger and drop the coin.

    Re: Boss G10

I think you better have a pretty hefty compressor if you're planning on using the G10 for large vehicles like that. You might want to look into a large throw DA polisher like a Rupes 15/21 or a Griots Boss 15/21. Even though the machine is larger and maybe a tad heavier, it does a lot more work for you than the PC. What I mean is, you don't have to work so hard with it in terms of downward pressure, and it generally corrects faster than the PC.
