Small Flex interest thread
First off I want to say thank you for introducing the new machines this week at SEMA. This will give users more selection on their next Flex unit and will fit in nicely to the lineup. Well done boys.
Seeing as there is a lot of discussion as of late for a smaller precision polisher I would like to start an interest thread on such a machine(s). I think it would be a great addition to see a pair of smaller machines of identical design like their full size counterparts. A rotary style chassis that features a plunger style trigger with throttle lock and adjustable thumb wheel to set the speed of the machine. One could be of the gear driven design featuring 8mm throw. The other could be of the free floating design incorporating say 12mm of throw.
I don't want to turn this into a petition, argument, or anything of that nature. Just would like to give a little thought. Maybe others could join in showing their interest in these hypothetical machines.
Please Andreas, Bob E, Suby, and the team of Flex. Build them and we will buy them.

I really thought that FLEX would have introduced a smaller forced rotation version at SEMA. I was actually holding out hope for that.

You were not the only one. It would be interesting to here from Bob if Flex feels the PE8 fills this roll, I know most of us want a DA, I do too, but in my head I know a rotary is better for intricate work as I can get right up to edges versus worrying about the DA bumping something.
Admittedly I do put 3" b&s pads on the 3401 when I want to do b-pillars, not much risk there.
I think a mini forced rotation is too good to unveil mid-year, so we will probably have to wait until SEMA 2016.

I would be interested but TBH after owning the PE8 I really don't see a reason to make a small DA. I have no issue cutting and finishing with the pe8 in tight areas.
