WOW!
Interesting, I have a Batoca in my AliExpress cart for $99 delivered (no doubt a scam ad) and also shown are others for $197 delivered.

Boosted (Boards) were the most popular and well known electric skateboard brand. They were designed and engineered in Mountain View, California. The electronics, batteries, and various components were manufactured in (you guessed it) China. Hobbywing (China) is widely used in high-tech fields such as UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle), model aircraft, RC cars, and many other industry related products. Their ESC (Electronic Speed Controller) and Motors are very safe, stable, smooth, and durable. Boosted had their parts made by them. Many top tier/quality e-board companies use Hobbywing ESC and Motors. Certainly just as complicated (if not more) than a polisher. Hobbywing most likely has their foot in other products that many do not know about...

While Flex tools are owned by Chervon (not Chevron) they are largely manufactured and assembled by hand at the headquarters in Steinheim Germany.
I toured the facility with Andreas Ditsche, Bob Eichelberg, and “Suby”.
Smack tours Flex-tools GmbH Germany!

In an international market like we have today, the difference comes down to the quality control implemented at point of manufacture, materials/design, and manufacturing processes moreso than the nation of origin.
A couple examples. For many years, and maybe even still today, the BMW plant with the lowest level of defects was the one building 3-series cars in South Africa; not their US or German sites. According to a story I read a while back GM's best plant is the one building Buick's in China (actually a third-party arrangement), Chrystler's plant with the highest build quality is in Mexico, and Toyota's best plant is actually in Turkey.

My Ram was built at that plant. (Saltillo, Mexico).
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.
