    Re: FLEX XCE 8-125

I had also contacted Chris from Flex about because I had been dealing with him as we had a bad battery right out of the box. Would say OK after a few minutes but only got to 1 or 2 bars and would only work for about 15 minutes. He's in the process of replacing that for me under warranty. At the time when I first contacted him, it was little more than a minor annoyance. Now the problem has rendered the tool unusable. My son took the video, I'll have him post it so I can link it.

Believe me when I say you have more polishers, we have four total. The shops don't typically get as much use as mine but haven't noticed any problems with those which were purchased later and from a different source.

Copy that. I just spoke to him. He's read this thread so he's up to speed on everything.

    He said,

Let people know that FLEX stands behind their products and their tools come with a 1-year warranty.

If anyone has any problems with a FLEX tool then simply reach out to FLEX and like with any major purchase - keep your receipt and have it handy.

Thanks for all your help and customer support over the years Chris!

Finally received shipping notification on the FLEX XCE 8-125. I hope to have it by the weekend, can't wait! I went ahead and ordered some of the Souveran Jeweling wax yesterday to try out also!

Mike, I saw flex is launching a power tools line at Lowe’s. Any word if those batteries are compatible with their current line of cordless polishers? That would be awesome.

I uploaded two videos to my shared Google Drive. I'd be happy to share the link with you if you're interested. I sent them to Chris, last I heard he was taking care of my problem with a new kit but I haven't heard anything past that from a few days ago.

Nope, not really interested. I've never doubted what you said, my point is your experience is the exception - not the rule.

I've used this thing on 3 vehicles so far and can't complain. You definitely notice it doesn't quite have the speed/power that the 3401 has, but not dragging a cord around makes it worthwhile!

I polished the wife's new 2021 Kia Soul before I coated it with CQuartz.

I went over my '08 WRX with the Pinnacle Jeweling Wax. I've had this car since new, so it stays pretty nice.

I also polished a 30 year old Talon TSI, but it has been painted before, so the paint wasn't that old. I polished it with Menzerna, then finished with the Pinnacle Jeweling Wax.

In my opinion, they all turned out really nice.

I love that Eagle Talon TSI. I had a cousin who had one just like that - a 1990 if I remember correctly, and I loved that car.
