Here's pic from Automechanika - anytime I found a booth with compounds and polishes I asked to test them out....

Because the tools were top secret back then, I could not take any pictures. But the first time I used all of the new cordless polishers was in August of 2016. As I type it is now February, 2019.

    Car Detailing History

    2017

First FLEX Cordless polishers introduced at SEMA in 2017

NEW Cordless FLEX Tools at Autogeek Rotary and Orbital Polishers

Been a tick busy since being given these tools from Bob Eichelberg, the President of FLEX North America at SEMA in Las Vegas. Now that the dust is starting to settle, (a month later), I've placed these new tools in Autogeek's Show Car Garage along with the other 200+ power and pneumatic tools in our garage for our detailing classes and projects.

    2018

The FLEX XCE 8 125 18.0-EC aka The Cordless BEAST or as I like to call it, the CBEAST was introduced at SEMA 2018

NEW FLEX Cordless 3401 aka the FLEX Cordless BEAST!

Bob Eichelberg and his team from FLEX North America and also from Germany shared this long-awaited tool at SEMA and because there's been a lot of buzz in the cyberworld as well as videos and pictures going around, I called Bob today and he gave me permission to fully let the cat out of the bag.

So to answer your question, the CBEAST was made public at SEMA this last November in 2018 and rumor has it production units will be here in June.

I spoke with Bob Eichelberg two week ago and he said my personal "Production Unit" will be here in the next week or so. Hoping it arrives this week.

Stay tuned for a video review this week on the CBEAST.

XCE 10-8 125 - Random orbital polisher with positive-action drive

Hi Mike, is this new? Just seen this on the Flex site, the corded version. Or are these the same ones if I recall that were about a few years ago then suddenly seemed to disappear from the radar.

Looks awesome. I see they have a few versions with apparently different size backing plates.

Just to clear up any confusion...

I spoke with Bob Eichelberg about this and the tool you're looking at is the German version.
