3401 with 7" pads
Any info/experience with using the 3401 with 7" pads such as Meguiars, Rupes, Buff & Shine? The 7.5" LC pads? Standard 5.5" backing plate or the LC 6" plate better?
I found a few posts while searching but not much. I read the review on the new Pinnacle Jeweling Wax where Mike used the 3401 with the Rupes 7" White pad. Not sure what backing plate he used though.

He probably used the standard backing plate it came with. I've used with some older Lake Country (Variable Contact) in the bigger size, which are listed as 6.5 but measure more like 6.75, just a tick under the 7" by Rupes. I've used them on the standard plate with no issues.

I use my Flex w/ 7" Meg's pads all the time, works well.
