Which polishing machine to choose

I am a new user and would like to understand which kind or model of polishing machine to go for. I prefer user friendly and all in one machine, is there any master can share with me?

People are going to recommend the Griots Garage 6" DA with the purchase of a 5" backing plate as your best possible starting point based on quality, power, ability, ease of use, fairly reasonable price and warranty. I've never used the Griots 6" DA, but so many people can't be wrong about it. I own the upper level larger Griots Garage polisher known as the Griots 21mm. Don't start with the 21mm though..

I have a couple Porter Cable 7424xp tools. I always hear about them being under powered, but that hasn't been my experience. I've had my first one for six years now. Never had an issue with it at all.

Hi Jerod,

depending on your budget you should also consider the FLEX XC 3401 VRG. The FLEX isn't cheap, but the chances are good that it will last a "lifetime". The biggest advantage is the forced rotation principle, this helps you to correct paint defects faster.
