    Flex 3401 heat question.

Does this area generally get so hot you can't touch it? I clayed used Nanoskin disk speed 2. Then applied glaze with black pad and speed 4 and 5 and half way through vehicle I noticed the heat. I'm doing a crew cab full size truck. It is almost 90 degrees and humid here today. I realize it's a machine and will generate heat. Being new to it I just would like some input from you guys that have some time on it that this is normal or not. Thanks in advance.

Yep, they generate a lot of heat. Especially at higher speed and lots or real estate.

Kinda surprised that high speed for a glaze.

I always apply glaze at 4 and fast arm speed, no pressure with a black pad.

Mine does that too but I still worry that it is a tad excessive. Seems that it should NOT get that hot.

I deal with the heat, the Flex 3401 is more efficient than any polisher I've ever used, and I've used many.
