[QUOTE=Calendyr;899621]That is almost my dreamcar, just swap the 440 for a 426 and I go bananas ;)
But that aside, you did an awesome job on it. Is the car yours?[/QUOTE
I thought I would answer for Tommy as he`s not a regular here.
And that would be.......wait for it ...........wait for it ........YES!!!
My accent brain from way back when tells me the 440 six pack was a way better engine than that boat anchor hemi.
Everyone is correct . I was going to put a 528 hemi in it after I connected the frame. There is way to much Maintence in this type of motor and would piss me off adjusting valve lash every few thousand miles . I want to enjoy driving the car . Soooo all new parts are orderd . 440 6-pack intake carbs and linkage . 440 polished ,ported Indy heads , matching comp cam . This car is fast now lol When we are done it will be ferocious ! I mean 1300 cfm when all 6 barrels open up ! And way more easy to maintain . I will post some pics of the engine when it's done
6 barrels, I hope you are also using a gas tank trailer with that ;) LOL
But you are right that the Hemi is a maintenance freak engine. 440 is a better choice for a car you will drive.
