these peanuts are making me thirsty...
I told my wife that a husband is like a fine wine; he gets better with age. The next day, she locked me in the cellar.

Is it possible for AG to use the recyclable (is that spelled right?) p-nuts? I think they are made from wheat by-products. Cost could be a big factor though.

    Just thinkin' out loud...

Are you referring to the ones that you run water on and they disappear? Starch based peanuts.

    Re: Styrofoam peanuts

It is a little known fact that the state of Florida actually pays shippers to use the styrofoam peanuts for packing out of state orders. The amount of the payment is dependent on the level of static charge infused into the peanuts. This loose static plays havoc with all the electrically powered heart monitors and other similar devices so prominent in Florida. These payments can add quite a bit to a company's bottom line in the current economy. One only has to look to all the companies that have gone out of business recently because they refused to use the statically charged peanuts for out of state shipping.

It's got to be true! I saw it on the internet.

I would like to see AG switch to the water soluble peanuts! Most other retailers are using them now and it's so much nicer to be able to just dump them in the sink vs. ending up in the trash.

    ??
Please. very very frustrating. I know its probably cheapest way to pack but cant you find something else to pack them? Even newspaper would be fine.
I haven't read through this entire thread so I apologize if I am repeating someone else's reply but I just type "Please use paper packing material" into the comments box while checking out and they do every time I type it there.
