Beware of Buying Carpro products from AG

According to Carpro...their Shelf life is... 1 year!

I have read all the BS about how...the Korean Government makes them...label it!

Then AG...tells me it's nothing and it will last a lot longer than that! Carpro the maker...states 1 year shelf life on their site... I would tend to believe the....maker!

I bought 5 carpro products from AG and 4 out of 5 were past or within days of the...1 year shelf life.

    So Buyer...Beware!

If want Carpro...especially fresh or at least not...expired...when buy it...I would buy...direct from...Carpro!
    Keep Pushin' On!

    I understand the date....to be...the production date...and that they expire...two years from that...date

I have a bunch of car pro products, all of them over one year old and they all work great. The only one that I have to be very careful of and make sure the bottle is sealed is C quartz, because if it’s open it will solidify or crystallize. But the car pro Ech20, eraser, elixir, reload , essence all work fine and are getting close to two years. I think more so than the age, what’s most important is they stay inside in the air-conditioning and not be subject to extreme heat or cold in the garage.

Don't believe that date, I have yet to see a product that is past the date not be working well.

Maybe you ordered some slow movers, I've never gotten stock that wasn't fresh from AG. Perhaps things are different now due to covid or because of winter people didn't buy much and they still have some old stock around but go ahead and use the products, they'll be fine.

Just check the posting history of the OP.

    Never happy. Always a complaint.

It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

Re: Beware of Buying Carpro products from AG

I used to work in the aerospace industry and just about every type of product used, i.e., adhesives, paints, sealants, even some greases and oils, etc., had an expiration date associated with it and was tracked by lot/batch numbers.

Whenever the expiration date got close to, or past, do you think the stuff was just thrown away? Heck no! It was sent to a lab, retested, and certified for another period of time. Most of those products were recertified over and over again as they would always pass the lab tests.

Moral of the story... Unopened products (in most cases) will last many, many times the length of their advertised shelf-life.

EDIT: As an example, I have some Hardman Extra Fast Setting Epoxy that I got from a neighbor in individual single use packaging. The expiration date is September 26, 1984. I still use the stuff today in my woodshop. In fact, I just used some yesterday.

I have a hard time thinking car soap will expire and go bad.

I will also say that some things are getting expiration dates due to government requirements. Sea salt, rubbing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide are just some of the type of items with these dates that really last for years beyond the date.

I have some ECH2O from two years ago that still works as if it was new. The product does separate a bit but I just shake it up. Good as new!
