    Disappointed with packaging this time

This was my 6th order so far. Received Rupes pads mangled and unusable The shipping was too slow in the first place. (placed the order on the 6th and received it today). Then poor packaging.

Summer will be gone (live in OR) by the time I get the stuff and get the car ready for show off...

Contact Autogeek and explain the situation, take some pictures and send them along. I once had a misadventure with the package, a bottle of product broke in transit and made a huge mess. AG refunded me the bottle no questions asked. One of the very nice thing about AG is their customer service. Just contact them and I am sure they will make it right.

Sorry to hear that. I'm in OR was well. Guessing only Washington state gets slower shipping from AG than we do. Amazon has spoiled us for near-instant gratification, and I've had to learn to be patient when ordering from AG. I suspect the poor shipping crew had a busy few days and were likely backed up from the 4th sale.

Thanks RippyD. Yes, around Beaverton area. I did place small order with Amazon ( no discounts but at least I will get them in 2 days with prime)...

Re: Disappointed with packaging this time

Everything I've ever received from AG has arrived in a sturdy box with plenty of paper/peanuts etc.

So your pads were not shipped this way?

Not doubting you in any way, just curious.

And shipping anything now days is a gamble. Imagine the pressure these poor guys are under.

"Deliver 1,200 boxes in 10 hours, or we'll find someone who can."

Not saying it's right, but I'll bet some of them are just "kicking" stuff around the truck at the end of the day.

Re: Disappointed with packaging this time

Did it look like it had been repackaged?? I had a package come to me late with items damaged. I took a picture of the box and sent it to them the item were promptly replaced and they told me the box had npbeen repackaged, which I kind of figured, AG doesn't use clear lacking tape.

Re: Disappointed with packaging this time

PaulMys, DaveT435 - The package was super tight. I'll post a picture tomorrow. The worst part was the box was filled with tight with filler paper roll. The pads were in ziploc like bags and cello taped on the top. So, the package had all the symptoms of someone who didn't know how to pack the pads.

Will post pictures. Meanwhile, no response from AG CS . I contacted them as soon as I opened the package.

Here is the box and the filler (more than one was used). List of items came in the box are

    1. Chinchilla Microfiber Buffing Cloths 3 Pack
    2. Rupes Zephir Gloss Coarse Gel Compound 250 ml.
    3. Buff and Shine Black Foam Finishing Pad (2)
    4. Rupes 100 mm (4 inch) Blue Coarse Foam Pad (2)
    5. Rupes 100 mm (4 inch) White Finishing Foam Pad
    6. Rupes 150 mm (6 inch) Blue Coarse Foam Pad (2)
    7. Rupes 150 mm (6 inch) White Finishing Foam Pad
8.Rupes 100 mm (4 inch) Yellow Polishing Foam Pad
9.Rupes 100 mm (4 inch) Yellow Polishing Foam Pad
    10. TUF SHINE Tire Brush

I think the box is too small for the above or should have used better filler materials instead of paper roll

All items except the mf towels (ofcourse) including the brush were damaged one way or the other.
