Another fun Cars & Coffee at Autogeek! The sun was out in full force and it was HOT outside, even early in the morning. Here's a few pictures from last Saturday's show...

The thing that makes Autogeek's Car's & Coffee unique from many if not all of the other cars and coffee shows that take place all across America on any given weekend is around 9:15am we hold a detailing tech session where a key specific topic is covered showcasing both products and tips and techniques for using them correctly.

At this Cars & Coffee Tech Session the topic was Interior Detailing and specifically how to clean, condition and protect leather surfaces using Black Label Hide-Soft Leather Cleaner, Hide-Soft Leather Conditioner and Leather & Vinyl Coating.

Our demo cars was my a convertible Mercedes-Benz SLK 350 as convertibles work very well for anytime you want to show interior detailing since everyone can see what's going on without the roof in the way.

Plus Yancy used the boom camera to capture the action from overhead and then show it on the big screen so everyone could see no matter their location in the room.

    Here's a few pictures....

Great turn out for our Saturday Tech Session with almost 50 people!

Just to note, I washed this car first thing in the morning, that's all just washed and dried it, and all I've used on the paint for this car is the Black Label Diamond Surface Coating. I use the Black Label Diamond Detailer and Booster to maintain it and the paint always looks like it was just detailed.

My favorite car and the car that seemed to get the most attention was this 1941 Chrysler Business Coupe with a flame job by Mike Lavalle of KillerPaint.com

This is the first time I've been around this car in the sun and being early Saturday morning the sun was still low in the sky so this makes it hard to really get great pictures showing the extent of the swirls and scratches but I think I was able to get enough pictures to give you an idea.

As soon as Luk drove in everyone started gathering around to check out this wild looking streetrod...

I look at cars from a detailer's point of view, that is I inspect the paint to check out what condition it's in...

These are not just swirls... they're holograms.... there's a difference....

In this shot, the "lines" you see in the lower left hand quadrant are the tale-tale sings of holograms inflicted by the misuse of a rotary buffer....

Here again in these next two shots of the panel just above the top of the trunk lid you can see the lines that indicated holograms....

Even with swirls and holograms it's still a really cool looking car...

This is the same car I share in this thread and as soon as I can clear my schedule this 1941 Chrysler will be back for a show car makeover to remove the swirls and create a totally flawless finish worthy of both the marque and the painter...

Brittany, whose nickname at work is Giggles, but I call her the Evil Dark Overlord here at work, took a LOT of pictures at Detail Fest and shared them on the Autogeek Facebook page and you can see all of them here,

    Autogeek's Facebook Page

Here's a few I snagged from the Autogeek Facebook page to share in this thread, just wanted to give Brittany her due photography credit.

    First, here's Brittany....

    Now her pictures....

Me talking about the products and techniques used on the leather after the tech session...

    Nick hard at work....

Trey in front, Bobby behind him and I think that's Daniel's arm...

    Darlene...

    The rest of Daniel....

    Ray

    Trey, Daniel and Nick...

Andre doing a demo on how to using detailing clay....

Bob, President and CEO of Autogeek talking cars with a local car guy...

Tommy wiping his 440 Cuda down with Pinnacle Crystal Mist... Tommy let me know he's getting offers over $90,000.00 for his Cuda so he might not have it much longer...

This 1970 Mach 1 had a Nissan 350Z metallic gold paint job on it that just looked fabulous....

    Meghan...

Meghan's truck proudly flying the American flag for the Pledge of Alleigience....

    Yancy!

Look at him looking at his reflection in the paint....
