Re: RUPES Best Off-Season Prep Tip Contest!
My biggest tip for winter car care is rinse the undercarriage as much as possible. The amount of rust in the North East is ridiculous. And some states are putting nasty solutions on the road before it snows. Rust is a nasty hard to fight battle.
As far as paint, wash, clay, polish and seal with any product Autogeek sells and you should be good to go.
Re: RUPES Best Off-Season Prep Tip Contest!
Like others have already said, get a good detail in before the bad weather comes. Make sure your ride is fully protected before winter sets in. I like to use the local quarter car wash to knock off any road salt and heavy grime. I then do rinsless washes in the garage. Those random warmer days I may do a traditional wash. Lots of good tips here.

Obviously I'm not eligible to win :) but how about those who store their cars for the winter? My 1967 C10 custom didn't even go out in the rain, so when winter came and she'd be sleeping under a cover for a couple months I had a regimen in place that winterized everything. Theres lots of great tips/tricks for long term storage and while its not to protect against the elements its just as important to make sure your pampered car comes out of storage in the spring ready to cruise!
Re: RUPES Best Off-Season Prep Tip Contest!
If you have road salt in the winter use a sealant instead of carnauba for extra durability.

Dylan hit the nail on the head. I already posted about keeping the undercarriage rinsed off. Better yet is two have two vehicles. One good one that gets parked in the winter. And a cheap beater that you can run whenever and you dont have to worry to much about

There's a difference between detailing and "detailing"
Re: RUPES Best Off-Season Prep Tip Contest!
Here in San Diego we don't get snow sleet or salt We do get a little dust so I strongly recommend a weekly wash and monthly wax. Keeps the ride looking great! Highly recommend Rupes products for the best look and protection. Phil
