Very true. The past few years it's been mid to high 70's during Christmas.

Re: RUPES Best Off-Season Prep Tip Contest!

    Steps I use

    1) If you can afford it get yourself some wheels and tires specifically for winter this will help you with traction ecspecially for a 2wd vehicle and will also protect you beautiful wheels.

    2) keep you underside clean by going to a coinwash and spraying down your car. Don't use your own pressure washer unless you got heated lines they'll freeze and break making a good thought to save a little cost you a lot more. I try to go once or twice a week.

    3) get a selant or coating on preferably coating to keep your paint good through the harshest time of the year.

    4) make shure you got some nice all weather matts in your car to keep your beautiful capret clean and not all stained up.

    5) if you drive a 2wd truck put weight bags in the bed to keep the rearend from skiping or sliding out from under you.

    6) if you have a vinyl bed cover and your truck sits out make shure you go out every morning and nock the snow off your bed cover or it will cause it to wear out.

    7) make shure your heater is working good don't want to be out there with no heater.

    8) there better be anifreeze in your car don't use water you don't want to crack your block.

    9) A set of nice warm gloves if you ever got to go fix something in the snow.

    10) if you got a nice polished billet hitch cover pull it off throw a cheap reese hitch cover on no need to ruin your nice hitch cover by the salt.

    11) if you got runing boards try not to use them they may be iced over.

    12) get yourself a snow joe snow brush and wrap it in a microfiber to protect your glass and paint.

    13) get ready to get it real nice agian when spring comes around

    14) skip 1-13 and make a run for the south

I'm in Gainesville, Fl. Here's what I do...

    1) Lower convertible top.
    2) Drive car.
    3) Enjoy...
    4) Wait until spring when the rains start, raise top.
