Cleaning a boat hull with a steamer?
I had a friend who was telling me that where his boat is stored they use some type of steamer on the exterior to "clean up" the gel coat. I have read that an acid wash is part of the normal process of an exterior polish but never heard of using steam.
I realize this may seem like a newb question and it is (currently doing alot of research on boats)
Can someone point me in the direction of information on exterior cleaning and boat detailing in general besides this forum which I am researching.
Thank you guys.

Re: Cleaning a boat hull with a steamer?
Never heard of using a "steamer" to clean the g.c. We acid wash a lot of our boats, to remove the yellowing from the waterline and chime.
