    aluminum siding travel trailer detail

I recently purchased a 1992 fifth wheel rv that has what I believe is aluminum sheathing on the outside. It is ribbed so I don't know how much pressure I can put on it to buff it out. It is in decent shape because it was stored inside but needs a good cleaning and I need to protect and shine it up. I have a flex 3401 but don't know if this is the correct tool for the job. Has anybody used anything that works well to clean and protect this. It is the same material they use on the new trailers if they don't have the fiberglass exterior. I was going to scrub with an all purpose cleaner and then wash with auto wash to get rid of residue. Then I planned on a polish/sealant. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks for your help and reading my first post.

use a light degreesor.do test spot as not to take off the paint .Then use a cleaner wax and a foam pad. will come out like new.If the degreesor is taking off paint use 1000 grit compound small amount of comp and a med cut foam pad .

    You mean it's corrugated aluminum?
    these stink to correct.
You might be able to use a 3-4" pad with a cleaner wax.
Maybe just a clay and spray wax might do the job too, but no correction.
