I have a client with Bertram which has a solid roof/cover on the flybridge. The boat has been polished and it came up beautiful apart from the underside of the roof. It looks like gelcoat but it feels slightly different, I'm not sure if its my imagination but it feels softer and indeed when I've tried to compound or polish it, it doesn't really respond, it just remains oxidised and mottled looking.

I've tried various cuts and polishes along with different pads from wool and soft and hard foam, but nothing really does the trick. I'd really like to get this part of the boat looking good because when you look up, this is one of the areas that stands out.

I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for this please?
