newer boat - best for removing water spots?

I'm close to finishing my bottle of Collinite 840 which is what I've mostly used on removing my water spots on the gel coat of our 2015 boat.

It's done a pretty decent job, although it does take a good amount of elbow grease when doing it by hand.

I'm curious if anyone has used any other products that do an equally good job or better with a little less work than the Collinite 840?

    Thanks!

Get a DA polisher. You also have cars don't you? Doing it by hand is like having a land line only.

I've used use white vinegar and water 50/50; Boat Bling Hot Sauce; Meguires Hard Water Spot Remover; and Babes Spot Remover, and they all worked fine for run-of-the mill hard water spots on gel. Now I wipe the boat down with Babe's Boat Bright pretty much every time I pull it (I trailer for every use) and have not had any water spots to remove in a while.

I use an acid based product if they are bad. Lot less work and it's ready for wax after that.

There is a product called "Boat Bling Hot Sauce". When I purchased a new seadoo we went out to a lake that had lots of minerals in the water and what was once a new ski looked like it sat outside for a year. I was beyond upset and nothing was making it better. I found this stuff on another forum and gave it a try. The first time you might have to go over it twice but after that, its a piece of cake. I used it now after each ride and the ski looks new again.

FWIW, I've had really good luck with Mother's Cleaner wax on hard water spots. So good that one time I got a rental that was hammered with some too, figured it couldn't budge them, I was wrong. I've tried all sorts of other products, not much luck with others, DG501 was even marginal in that respect.
