Boat Detail Question: Removing Mold/MildewCompletely?

Today, I helped another detailer out on a boat detail.
I have a few boat details under my belt, but am still in the learning curve regarding boat details.

The boat I am working on is a pontoon boat.
The problem is severe mold on the seats.
Extremely severe mold on the steering wheel.
(Sorry. no pictures. Will take some tomorrow if I can).

I would say I was able to remove about 80% of the mold from the seat cushions, and about 20% of the mold from the steering wheel.
I spent most of the time working with what the other detailer gave me to work with.
That was bleach, some rags, magic erasers, and a bucket of water.

Towards the end of the day, I went out to my car where I typically have supplies on hand.
I grabbed my Megs D108, Megs D101, Bio Clean window cleaner, more magic erasers, and some microfiber towels.
Cleaning the mold/mildew became much easier at that point and things started rocking and rolling.
I forgot I had scrub sponges on hand, and will use those tomorrow.

Other than that, the only thing I have on hand for mold and mildew is kitchen chemistry related.
Have a spray bottle of H202, Vinegar, and other mixtures of kitchen chemistry that I am not sure work for mold/mildew.
I do have some tannin stain remover, ink and wine stain remover, and soap and water.
I also have a steam machine, and a Bissel Little Green Machine I can use if needed.

So, with what I have on hand, is it possible to remove the rest of the mold/mildew from the seat cushions?
The steering wheel is atrociously bad.
I even tried the Bio Clean on it.
It helped some, but more than anything, just made it smell much better, lol.

I don't have the time to purchase any products before tomorrow.
For future sake, what is a go to product for mold/mildew on boat and seat cushions, and of course, the steering wheel.

Pool chlorine eats up mold quadruple the strength of store bought bleach.steering wheel use a bleach gel and let it linger under supervision,what I mean is don't forget it's on there.

This is a picture of the steering wheel.
This was when I arrived the second day, and after my initial attempts at cleaning it the first day.
The detailer I was helping told me not to do any more work on it, so I left it as is.

I picked up a couple items from the Dollar Store to see if they would help.
The Mold Remover was ok.
It did help, but was ok at best as a product.
The shower cleaner foam did not seem to do much, but it did smell great.



When the boat was finished, it looked 1000x better.
I would not say it was up to the standard it could have been, or should have been, but this was not my customer, and not my detail.
When all was said and done, I would estimate I was able to remove 90% of the mold and mildew.
I do believe much better results are possible, and will research further int this.

This boat was atrociously bad.
The detailer I worked with details boats full time for a living and suggested this boat was about as bad as it can get with boats.

I hope you were using a mask and gloves for that.That stuff put me in the hospital.
