Isopropyl alcohol wipe down periodically works wonders! No!....It won't eat the rubber. lol

You can easily clean the wiper blade inserts by using a
lint-free cloth dampened with windshield washer fluid.

Clean and apply glycerin on the blades. Let it sit for 15 mins. Wipe off.

Rubber will be soft and supple for a couple of months and will wipe clean without streaks

Through the course of my 3 cars, all with new blade inserts I have never gone about replacing my wiper blades.

When washing the car I make a habit of cleaning them using my soapy wash mitt.

Diluted APC and a utility towel/rag will work as well quite nicely.
Keeping glass clean and sealed helps quite a bit as well. Keeps them clean.

this post nails it for me.

when i clean the soft trim periodically with full strength Power Clean APC, i'll do the same for the blades. i will keep making passes until no more black comes off. simple.

every time i wash the car or even use waterless to clean the windshield, i'll wipe the blades too.

and i have coated windshields on all cars - most of the time you don't even need wipers.

I agree with the all of the above and will add: whenever I'm cleaning my windshield at the gas station (w/ their squeegee) I'll give the blades a quick once over with the squeegee's sponge side. Doing so helps knock off any crud build up between maintenance washes.

I have been driving for a bit more than 30 years & I have never bought wiper blades. I treat all the glass like the paint. Clay bar & wax, rain doesn't stand a chance.

Has anybody used this on their blades? I have some on backorder and planing on putting it on all the rubber on the car - keep it soft and pliable - would it work on wiper blades?

I also have heard of folks using teflon wiper blades?? Not sure what they are or if they are worth paying for. Also we will store our car in the winter and they say you should keep the blades off the windshield use a piece of sponge between the two or take of the wiper blades entirely and keep them in the house - anyone done this or have advice? TIA -
