Just days after bringing home his 2nd straight NHRA Lucas Oil Nationals title, Bruno Massel completed another dominating performance with a win at the NHRA Lucas Oil Series event in Topeka, KS. After qualifying 3rd, Bruno took down some of the best racers in the country including 2011 World Champion Lou Ficco en route to his second final round appearance in just six days. In the Final, Bruno got the advantage at the starting line and drove away from final round opponent Todd Patterson as he claimed his 15th career Lucas Oil Series victory.

The most recent win puts Bruno solidly in contention for the 2013 NHRA Competition Eliminator World Championship, which would be his 3rd season title in five years. “It’s been a great week, to say the least,” Massel added. “We’re officially back in the hunt, now we just have to keep winning rounds down the stretch to make it happen.”
