Re: Best Rotary
Makita is smother than DeWALT and had better ergonomics that what made me choose the Makita. It is also lighter I believe. I have used my Makita for more than detailing I’ve slapped on many cutting wheels, grinding disks and I also used a special backing plate with steel teeth that attaches normally I believe it’s made for sanding wooden siding I use it off label and sand a whole deck every piece of wood on a deck get touched by the 5 inch disk that’s heavy rotating at 2000 rpms knocks paint and rotten wood off I’ve chewed through at least 12 and it’s real work beating the crap out the machine. This machine has gone back and forth between grunt work and finesse wool cutting without any hiccups. Sure I would love a light rotary like the flex but you lose the ability to use outside of detailing. I have been extremely impressed I left it in a rain storm for about an hour and half I dried it it was fine. I would think DeWALT is also great

Re: Best Rotary
Milwaukee is a tool usually never mentioned.
They are buletproof, I have one, and these are machines I doubt you could ever wear out in a lifetime.
But they are also crazy heavy, that's IMO the biggest dislike. You better have arms like Hulk Hogan.

Re: Best Rotary
Id love to tell you about what i consider the best, but sadly AGO doesnt carry it.
Its has a 300 starting rpm dial(throttled down lower)
1500 watts, priced less, and german made
With that said, i hope the LC tools is good enough to truely replace my longthrow and my rotary

You speak of the Metabo I believe. Nice machine for sure.
I can’t wait to try a LC. It’s bulky looks have me concerned but we will see when it comes out.
