Thank you for the mention of this unit!
The PXE does not offered any forced rotation, but it does have a rotary drive to use with the 1" backing plate. But if you use the 12mm function unit, this machine is a BEAST. You can put a decent amount of pressure on the machine and you'll still see the pad rotate. The PXE 80 is my usual go-to for a any spot buffs or tight areas I have to do.

    Thank you for the clarification.
I think i'll just go for the XFE 7-12

Dont think i could get over that trigger design. I was at one point b4 i got my flex 14-2, i looked at the flex kompakt 3...but it has the same trigger design as the xfe 7-12, so i decided against it.

There is a thread on here or Autogeek where someone was talking about a generic 3” forced but that is the only time I’ve ever heard of one

I have all 3 Flex cordless units.

    XFE, XCE and the PXE.

In my opinion, the PXE, in any configuration, comes nowhere near to the a forced rotation you are in search of.

XCE is a beast- not my cup of tea, but im just a hobbyist.
XFE is the best of all worlds, in my opinion. Super enjoyable, traditional DA.

Re: Is there a such thing out there?

Since you’ve got the Griots warranty to work with, what about trading up to the G8 (successor to the original GG3), GR8 (3” rotary, but it seems for small spaces that can have its advantages), or G13 (long throw 3” machine)?

When my GG3 had issues, I sent it in for warranty and got the G8. If I remember right I paid a few bucks because the base price of the machine had changed (paid the difference), which I don’t think is unreasonable.

The G8 has much more snort than the GG3. Haven’t put a ton of time in with it, but I personally haven’t had to fight stalling with it.

Doesn’t help with your original request for a 3” forced rotation, but at least would get some $ back out of your GG3.
