Identify this pad
Hello everyone! It's been a long time since I've posted. I was doing some major correction work on a car and tried this pad. I love it, but I can't remember for the life of me where I got it. It's a 5" white wool pad with a gray fabric backing to it. If anyone recognizes it, pls PM me with where it came from. I don't think it's AG, but I'm not sure.

Hey, Richie! GREAT to hear from you, my friend.
Wish I could help you on the pad but curious to hear the answer.

Sorry, don't know. But, I was wondering what happened to you very recently. Glad to see you are in good health!

Thanks guys! Yes, I've been well. I had my partial knee replacement ripped out and replaced with a full replacement at the end of January. I'm back doing cars but at a slower pace. I haven't posted any jobs I've done. Even my website needs updating. The big thing is that the knee is doing great for the most part. Thanks for taking the time to look. It's a real mystery for me. I've texting the sources from which I get pads and I didn't get it from either of them....hmmm???

Re: Identify this pad
Looks like a 3M Finesse It polishing pad. I used to use them at work when polishing machined polycarbonite to a clear state. Worked really well with the Finesse It II polishing liquid.
Maybe not exactly it, but looks very similar.

That’s exactly what it looks like to me as well. I used to sell a ton of those back in the day

Re: Identify this pad
I used that polishing pad with Finesse It liquid polish after using 3 different grits of 3M paper fiber sanding disks that had adhesive on the back to attach to the backing plate.
This was done with a pneumatic palm D/A. Only used water as lubricant with the sanding disks. Worked great.
We machined port hole viewing windows for semiconductor manufacturing vacuum chambers. Pretty cool stuff really.
