    GG 6 bp options

Would like to add a gg6 to my arsenal but I run 5" pads on my flex on a 4" bp.
Are there any options to run a 4" bp on a gg6?
    Thanks

Griots offers a 5" backing plate and a 3" backing plate for the GG6.....the 5" would at least allow you to run 5.5" pads....like their BOSS thin pads...which are awesome

Well I ordered the GG 6 and the 3 1/2 bp and we will see how that goes,my flex bp is a little under 4" that I use with my 5" pads.
    Thanks

    Re: GG 6 bp options

i would just purchase the 5" GG vented DA backing plate (and 3" HD backing plate) and buy 5.5" (and 3.5") pads. while the 3.5" backing plate will work with the 5" pads (with the 4 inches of hook & loop), there will be even more of a gap to the outer edge of the pad (pad is also thicker too) which isn't ideal. fyi, those (discontinued) 5" lake country hybrid pads are the same foam as the thinpro pads...

I have about 40 of the 5 inch pads so I really need to get some use out of them,I may look at turning down the the gg6 bp that comes with the polisher.

I actually have some of the thin 3 1/2 pads I use on my gg3.
I started polishing about 4 years ago as a weekend warrior.

now I have a question for you.....I've heard that the GG3 does not have enough power to handle tougher correction jobs.....how has your experience been with it?

I have the 2nd gen. And it's ok with the thin pads, works good for the front and rear bumper covers and other small areas.
I usually go with a more aggressive pad and/or polish to get the same cut as my flex.
