Re: 49.89 Dollar Sun Gun, 3M have a seat
Not entirely sure what you mean by a cover art? if you mean something that sits in front of the bulb like clear plastic then no. I have heard you can get a blacked out version of the bulb if the glow of the shell bothers you.
Lakeside Detail: If you found everything local then do it up man, lemmie know how it works I just wanted to use the same bulbs used in the 3M Sun Gun. So I had to order it and the proper connecter for it. Also if you really want a sunlight replicating bulb you want the bulb to be around 4700k and I chose the 35w instead of a 50w cause of the overwhelming brightness. Other bright white bulbs might be too bright and actually hide some of the more hidden scratches and just show the larger one by distracting your eyes with glare. But If the bulb you got works with your paint olor, great. Mine is really white so I really avoided too much brightness

Just a shield or lense that covers the open bulb. Something says an accidental touch to the skin would be bad!

Good point art, but I mean, ive used it then touched the bulb with my hand felt it was warm, used it again for a little longer and felt it and it only got a little warmer, nothing I would consider dangerous. But if you find a perfectly clear piece of plastic you could cut and mount in the shell in front of the bulb then hey go nuts man

Re: 49.89 Dollar Sun Gun, 3M have a seat
Everything went together great. The socket I bought looked exactly like the one on amazon. I used a Phillips 35w bright white 3000k. It will work for now but I'm going to get the right bulb with my next amazon order. I couldn't find anything brighter than 3000k local. I was just happy to find the socket and build the light. The bulb was only $6 so no big loss.
Your right, this light looks like something I bought, if I handed to someone they would think I bought it this way!!

alright man sounds like a plan and haha well maybe that could be something to make money on the side. "DI you know that Skill made a sun gun!? Would you like to buy one for 100 bucks? That's 350 less than the 3M Sun Gun, with the same bulb." Easy money dude.
