DuraGloss #111 clearcoat polish....thoughts
After trying some DuraGloss spray wax per my buddy Derek's GLOWing reviews, I decided to buy another one of their products, the #111 clearcoat polish, has anyone used this stuff? I read some of the reviews but I thought I'd give you guys to boast about it or hate on it.
As far as the DuraGloss spray wax goes, GREAT STUFF! I love the shine, ease of use and it smells like Coppertone.....I was actually looking for Suzanne Summers to appear from out of nowhere (she did do commercials for them back in the day, right?) Once my 22 oz bottle is empty, I will buy a gallon from AG for sure but it was nice to know that such a quality product can be bought from Car Quest but not in bulk sizes, thank you AG for carrying the larger size, its the only way to go IMO, especially for me
So, here's your chance to gloat about your favorite product, well, if it is, all input is appreciated, thank you!

DG 111 is very nice, gives the classic sealant look, no cleaners, and leaves a nice silky feel. It can be a little tricky in the humidity so make sure to apply it thin. If you need to extend it's performance, mix it 4:1 with #601 Polish Bonding Agent.

Its funny you speak about humidity, its been over 100 here the past 2 days and tomorrow makes day #3, so I'll have to wait to try it out but I know this, its a good thing I've got adequate protection on the car right now, its been getting its butt kicked for well over a week now, especially the last 2 days and again tomorrow for sure!
Thanks for the tip on applying thin, I appreciate it. Does this product compare to anything inparticular, like Klasse SG for instance?

In particular you can compare it to Zaino Z2
I've never brought myself to use Klasse products to be honest, no real reason, just haven't gotten around to it.

I was going nuts trying to decide whether to go with #111 or #105 after #501 to use as an LSP on my wife's DD. I read everything I could find on this and consulted with Ritchy our resident expert on Duragloss. I placed an order for #105 and #601. The #105 is a newer formulation and is supposed to have a deeper/wetter look then #111 which is supposed to have a more traditional plastic sealant look.

I've been using Klasse since 2005 and have always had it in my arsenal, even now that I've been on AG. I guess you could say its my first step into the arena of sealants, I used to be all about Mequiars before this, so from one enthusist to another, give Klasse a try, you'll like it
Thanks for the input on DG guys, sounds like I need to pick up the #105 and give it a try as well but with it having a cleaner in it compared to the #111, does it produce the results a dedicated sealant would have on its own?

IIRC on another forum I used to spend time on, there was some argument about whether the 105 is just "newer" or if it is different (having cleaners vs. not). I think different people talked to different brothers and got different answers.
So anyway, I'm still confused about all this but they were so cheap I just bought a bunch of them. The 105 is certainly cheaper per ounce.

Thanks for the input, sounds like I bought the right one to try out for sure. It says that it does a full size car 3x's and since I've got a CR-Z, well, I should get about 5 jobs out of the bottle, we'll see how it goes when the weather breaks!
I've never used Z-2 but I did use Z-5 last summer and into the early spring of this year and really liked it. I was told that Z-2 is better on lighter colored cars but the guys at Zaino told me that Z-5 was the way to go, so we'll see how it goes. My car is Storm Silver Metallic, so it is lighter in color but not like a traditional silver, can't wait to try it out.
Hey Deep Gloss, where's your shop located in the D?
