Re: DuraGloss #111 clearcoat polish....thoughts
I used DG 111 on a Candy-red Solara last month. It looked outstanding. All I did was 501/601 and 111/601. I definitely will be using that combo again.
It did give it more of a "plastic" shine, but that's what I was going for considering the color. If I ever get my gold Jeep back that is a product combo I am going to try on it.

Hey Deep Gloss, where's your shop located in the D?
What size bottle did oh get? Must have been really small to only be able to do 3 cars....
I am in Utica, m59 and van dyke and the main cross roads... Are you familiar with the area?

111 is for light cars, 105 is for dark cars. 111 has light chemical cleaners in it. Either way you go Duragloss has great products.

He's originally from the Detroit area. Are you north or south of M59? I work for General Dynamics at 17 and Mound. Going to be at Kart2Kart tomorrow morning for the monthly Cars and Coffee meet, not sure if you ever hit that up.

#105 works on any color and is not specified for dark cars, it also contains light cleaners. #111 is a pure sealant with no abrasives or cleaners which is why they recommend using a cleaner first. It is for all colors.
Where did you come up with that information?

According to Jerry at duragoss 111 has light cleaners in it. Then 101 has more cleaners and finally 105 with most cleaning ability of the 3.

I believe you but not what I was told. Could these folks make their products even more confusing? No they could not but they do work. With all the conflicting reports on what does what over the years I stick with #501, #105, and Aquawax. I see no reason to use the other numbers if I can't figure out what they actually are. To top it all off they are all called a polish.

See I said that also. It says it on the bottle. I didnt mean to say that 105 is for dark colors and 111 is for light colors. 105 has a resin in it that mimics carnuba , it gives a deeper gloss that is very good on dark colors. 111 does not have this resin in it so it has a somewhat plastic look that looks great on light colors. Use either one on any color you choose it will look great.

Whoever is answering their email seems to get confused. I've seen and gotten different answers.
In my testing 111 has no cleaners. It also looks like the old Z2. Laminated plastic is how I would describe it. Awesome on white and silver. 105 seems to have light cleaners to aid in bonding. Looks like the new Z2, glossy and clear like glass. 101 has the most cleaners except for 501. 101 has a wax like look, but it's very artificial looking.
I can't see using more than an ounce of any of them even on a large car.
