    Well it doesn't last longer than a sealant, instead there are bonding issues, and blemishes that can happen when you apply a sealant over a wax.

    That's why you let the sealant cure, and then you top it off with a wax of your choice.

    Sorry--I didn't mean why does Souveran paste last longer over a sealant than under it, I meant why does Souveran paste last longer over a sealant than when Souveran paste is applied by itself directly to clearcost.

    It doesn't. It's just that once the Souveran has worn off, you should still have the protection of the sealant below it instead of bare paint.
