Saturate a cloth with this solution then wipe the steering wheel until clean...a very simple solution....:props:
I've also used Meguiar's all purpose cleaner at an 8:1 dilution ratio without harm.....

I'm really interested in trying the all-in-one Pinnacle Leather Cleaner & Conditioner but I'd like to try it first before I spend $25 on it. I can't seem to find a sample size on AG. I'm guessing you can't get this as a sample?
I have used Four Star Leather Cleaner. It is a soap and does not like the steering wheel sticky when using it and you can wipe it down with water to remove the cleaner.
Some APC's (excluding Optimum Power Clean) seem to give leather (real or fake) tacky when using it.
We are just talking steering wheel only right?
Try M-40. Yea, it is for vinyl, but for ONLY the steering wheel, it both cleans and leaves a nice finish that doesn't end up on your hands.
My $.02...

I used the two Leatherique products on my BMW leather steering wheel last fall. It left the wheel clean and non-slick. For 10-year old leather, pretty good deal.
Other leather cleaner/conditioners like the Megs Gold Class left the wheel slightly slick as I remember, so I stopped using it years ago.
Good luck.
