    wd40 for wax removal

Just thought I'd share something I did.Not sure if I was supposed to but did it anyway!
On the roof of my car there are 2 lines of rubber molding that run from front to back. At some point while detailing the roof my DA put wax on those rubber moldings. I couldnt get it off with soap, I didnt have QD. So I took some sterile gauze pads soaked a little of wd40, and away the wax went, and never came back!! Its been a month now, with the car being exposed to sun almost everyday, and there are no hints whatsoever of fading or discoloration. Like I said I dont know if this is chemically stable towards the trim, but it worked like a charm

Wd40 is invented to be a cleaner, lubricant for the for the mlitary,

I can not see how this would harm your trim at all. Wd40 used to be used to clean the Nike missles, so it is probally safe for your car.

I have used it to clean alot of things.

makes more sense than peanut butter but apparently that works too!
I told my wife that a husband is like a fine wine; he gets better with age. The next day, she locked me in the cellar.

WD-40...Stands for (Water Displacement) and the recipe wasn't perfected until the 40th try...Its first use was intended to Protect the skin of the atlas missle from rusting and was introduced to the public in 1958...
