    Emblem help

I am working on my older F series pick up. So far its coming along great but the emblems on the side are turning into a pain. I taped them and worked up as close as I could get but the problem I am having is getting the paint around them to match the surrounding areas. Also the "0" in F250 is open and the red shows through. About the only thing I can get in there is a q-tip. Any suggestions for tight areas like this? I even tried to take them off but they are held on with 2 sided tape, not screw on.

This has been a long rpocess but a fun one and so far the help I have gotten on here has been wonderful.

    Thx

to take them off, heat the area with a hair dryer then use fishing line or dental floss to cut through the adhesive. You will need some adhesive remover to take the residue off afterwards. Use 3M double sided from HD to put it back on afterwards. Probably shouldn't wax the area before reattaching.

Go to youtube and watch a video of it being done.
I told my wife that a husband is like a fine wine; he gets better with age. The next day, she locked me in the cellar.

You don't want to take them off just to clean around them if they are held on with adhesive. It would be a pain to get more adhesive/new emblems. I use small pieces of old buffing pads that I have cut up to get around emblems. I just work it by hand. It takes a little while, but it gets great results.
